Barbara Kelderhouse, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a loving family.

Barbara was born on November 28, 1932, and spent most of her childhood in Chicago. She graduated from Chicago Vocational High School in January 1951. In 1954, she married Robert Kelderhouse Sr., and together they raised their three children in Oak Forest, Illinois.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a woman of strong faith and was a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed baseball and was involved in the growth of the Oak Forest Baseball Association. Throughout her life, Barbara was known for her kindness, strong work ethic, and caring nature.

After retiring, Barbara moved to Hoschton, Georgia, to be with her daughter Karen and her family. Georgia became her beloved home, and she remained an active member of Nativity Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, Georgia, which she loved dearly.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Meryle Haase, William Haase, and Fred Wilkerson, her siblings Dorothy Miller, Toni Horner, Fred Wilkerson, and Ronald Wilkerson, and her son John Kelderhouse.

She is survived by her children, Robert Kelderhouse Jr. (Diane) and Karen Butler (James), along with her 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory and love with them always.

Barbara will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love, faith, and kindness she shared with her family and all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am, Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Nativity Lutheran Church in Bethlehem. Officiating will be Pastor Julie Ehlers-King. Following a brief service of interment in the Bethlehem UMC Cemetery, the Church will host a reception in the fellowship hall.
