Carolyn Louise Newsom

Carolyn Louise Newsom , age 97, of Auburn passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015.  Mrs. Newsom was employed with the DeKalb County Fleet Maintenance for over 20 years. She was survived by her sons William Joel Newsom and wife Jan, Arthur Leanord Newsom and wife Patricia, Donald Anthony Newsom, Ronald Lee Newsom and wife Eileen, Michael Joseph Newsom, Patrick Kenneth Newsom and Francis Gregory Newsom and wife Jacqueline; daughters Glenda Bodie, Carolyn JoAnne Weston and husband Chad, Angela Thompson and husband Tommy, and Janice Renee Hays; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of other relatives.  She is preceded in death by her husband William Joel Newsom, Sr., sons James Gerald Newsom and Francis Edwards Newsom.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, May 22, 2015 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery,  1680 Westview Drive, S.W., Atlanta, GA, 30310.  Deacon Paul Krarup will be officiating.  The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the funeral home.  Funeral arrangements by Lawson Funeral Home, 4532 Hwy 53, Hoschton, GA, 30548, www.lawsonfuneralhome.org, 706-654-0966.
