Cecil E. "Cope" Copeland

Cecil E. “Cope” Copeland , age 86, of Mount Dora, FL passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Cope lived in Brookhaven, Peachtree City and Flowery Branch before moving to Florida a few years ago. He was retired from the United States Marine Corps. He served in Korea and Vietnam. After retirement he owned businesses and retired from them. Cope loved to travel with SMART, a military retirement group. Cope made friends wherever he went and enjoyed being with his friends. He loved dogs and gardening. Survivors include his wife Beverly S. Copeland of FL; son Craig Copeland of  Fayetteville; daughters Kelly Macken of PA and Kerry Stanfield of Suwanee; grandchildren Courtney Copeland, Parker Copeland and Caroline Stanfield. He is preceded in death by his first wife Joyce Farmer Copeland and long time friend Erlene Lee. Memorial services will held 2:00 pm Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
