Charles Richard Greene

Charles Richard Greene , age 77, of Braselton passed away Friday, February 7, 2025.  Richard served 36 years as a Captain on the  DeKalb County Fire Department, Station 19.  He loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed playing baseball.  He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  Survivors include his sons Marty and wife Crystal, Jeff Campbell and wife Doris, Kenny and wife Lana; daughters Tonia Weaver and Angela Trout; brother Lee and Debbie Greene, 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives.  He is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years Lila Jean Greene; parents Thomas Alton Greene, Sr.  and Maggie Lee Greene; brothers Thomas Alton Greene, Jr., John Littleton Greene, James Lawrence Greene and sister Shirley Elizabeth Peters.  Memorial services will be held 12:00 pm Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.  Milton Harris will be officiating.  Inurnment will be held following at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, 2570 Russell Scenic Hwy, Blairsville, GA, 30512.
