Charles King Reid

Charles King Reid, of Hoschton, Ga., passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on October 17, 1956, he lived a life marked by devotion to his family and by the simple joys that brought him closest to the people he loved most.

Charles loved motorcycles and found great happiness in time spent with his sons, especially while coaching youth sports with them and golfing alongside them. Those shared experiences reflected the kind of man he was: present, engaged, and happiest when making memories with his family. One of the great blessings of his life was the love he shared with his wife, Tammy. For 43 years, he loved his wonderful wife deeply and enjoyed their marriage immensely, a lasting bond that stood at the heart of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Reid of Hoschton; his sons, Matthew Reid and his wife, Kaitlin, of Bethlehem, and Daniel Reid of Norcross; his brother, James Reid and his wife, Cathy, of Pinson, Alabama; and his sister, Bonnie Wrench of Birmingham, Alabama. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Gavyn, Savannah, Ryker, Charlotte, and Renee, who will carry forward the memory of his love and presence.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, James Reid; his mother, Emma Reid; his brother, Edwin Reid; and his brother-in-law, Henry Wrench.

Those who knew Charles will remember a man whose love for family was constant and unmistakable. His memory will live on in the lives of those he loved so well and in the many moments they shared together.
