Connie “Poochie” Lorraine Colwell

Connie “Poochie” Lorraine Colwell, age 52 of Auburn passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton from metastatic breast cancer. Connie was born in Riverside, California. She loved University of Kentucky Basketball, cartoons, elephants, her dogs, and margarita Mondays. Connie lived with a smile on her face and enjoyed giving back to her community. She also worked hard to help those suffering with addiction find sobriety. Connie was known for her kind soul, boisterous laugh, and the lasting impact she made on all she met. She is survived by her father Gary Johnson; sons Nathan Pritchett and wife Hannah, Jeffery Elmore, Elijah Wainwright; daughter Megan Elmore and husband Issac Sams; sisters Jillian Johnson, Brandi Beasley, Korrine Johnson; brother in law Bryan Toddy; brother Anthony Johnson; grandchildren Noah Sams, Liam Sams, Isabel Sams, Lily Elmore, and Adley Elmore. Connie was preceded in death by her mother Sharon Beasley and sister Jeraldine Colwell. A Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 pm Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the Barrow Community Church (1385 Harmony Grove Church Road, Auburn, Ga., 30011). Officiating will be Ewell Davis Pritchett.
