Douglas Merrill Walker

Douglas Merrill Walker , age 68, of Jefferson passed away Friday, July 4, 2014.  Merrill was a family man who loved spending time with his family and friends.  He will be missed by Holly, his shih tzu.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and civil war buff. He was survived by his wife of 29 years Sherry Walker; daughter Hannah Belle Walker of Jefferson; sisters Kathy Butler and husband Ricky of NC, Robyn Davis and husband Cliff of Sandersville, Lauri Walker Closson of New York and P.J. Johnson of Macon.  He is preceded in death by his brother Scott Walker.  A private memorial service will be held.
