Mrs. Elise Burke Roberts

Mrs. Elise Burke Roberts , age 96 , of Atlanta passed away in Dahlonega on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.  Due to declining health, she had lived in the home of her niece for the past 7 years.  Elise was born in Screven County and later moved to Atlanta with her parents.  She was a bookkeeper for Westinghouse until she retired and a member of The First United Methodist Church of Atlanta.  Elise was preceded in death by her husband, Lester W. Roberts;  her parents Mason T. Burke and Jessie Mae Camp Burke; her brother, Thomas E. Burke Sr.,  and Lillian D. Burke, sister-n-law; Thomas E. Burke Jr., nephew. Mrs. Roberts was survived by her niece, Mary Burke Stover and her husband, Marvin of Dahlonega; a nephew, David Marvin Burke and his wife, Chris of Roswell ;  Dawn Tatum Burke of Social Circle and 6 great nieces and nephews and 8 great- great nieces and nephews.
