Gladys Marie Faulkner, born on June 26, 1943, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, at the age of 82. She was a woman whose warmth and kindness were felt by all who knew her, and her legacy is one of and devotion.
Gladys was married to her beloved husband, Roy Willie Faulkner, for an incredible 64 years. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love, and together they built a life filled with cherished memories. Gladys was deeply proud of her family. She is survived by her son, Ricky Faulkner of Jefferson; her daughters, Vicki Olguin of Jefferson and Brenda Longoria, along with her partner Cipriana, of Gainesville. Gladys also leaves behind her siblings, brother Larry Black of Jefferson, sister Edna McClain of Flowery Branch, and sister Ann Garrett of Winder.
A proud grandmother, Gladys was the doting grandmother of nine grandchildren and the adoring great-grandmother of seventeen great-grandchildren. Each of them held a special place in her heart and fell under the glow of her affection.
Everyone who knew Gladys understood her passions; she loved to shop and had a profound love for animals. Above all, her love for her husband and family was the cornerstone of her life. She brought joy and light into her family’s lives, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
Visitation will be held on November 21, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lawson Funeral Home, located at 4532 Highway 53, Hoschton, GA 30548.
Gladys Marie Faulkner will be remembered for her deep love, her vibrant spirit, and her unwavering commitment to her family. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
