Harold Ray Edge

Harold Ray Edge , beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away Thursday, June 18, 2025. He was born on April 7, 1933 in Braselton, GA to J.C and Cammie Wood Edge. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Carolyn, his son Gary Harold Edge, his grandson Joshua David Edge and his beloved sister Margaret Edge Turk. Carolyn and Ray were married 69 years. Ray was a lifelong member of New Liberty United Methodist Church in Braselton, Ga. He served in the US Army as part of the 101st Airborne Division during the Korean War. Ray was an Auctioneer at many used car auction houses in the Southeast. He ran his own used car business and sold real estate. He was a farmer and was happiest in his garden growing tomatoes or on the back of a tractor. Ray is survived by his children Gail Edge Nation, David Edge (Becky), Denise Edge, and Keith Edge (Debi). His grandchildren Jessica Hulsey, Shane Hulsey (Orapun), Skye Chancey (Karla), Crystal Christian (Adam), Ty Nation, Jordan Edge (Chelsea), Brooke Flaa (Kenny), Angela Harris (Bradley). As well as his great-grandchildren Kade Christian, Reese Christian, Wade Pirtle, Addison Edge, Jackson Farr, Emery Nation, Charlie Edge, TJ Harris, Wren Flaa, Henry Edge, Lucy Harris, Layne and Tyler Chancey. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, June 22 at 2:00 in the afternoon at New Liberty United Methodist Church in Braselton. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the church. The family ask that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to New Liberty United Methodist Church at 17 Thompson Mill Road, Braselton, GA 30517.
