Joe “J.D.” Robinson

Joe “J.D.” Robinson , age 75, passed away Thursday October 6, 2022. A was a native of Barrow County. He was the son of the late J.D. and Sybil Robinson of Winder. He was preceded in death by his former late wife Mrs. Carol Books of Monroe, Ga; sister Mrs. Joann R. Morgan of Winder. Mr. Robinson was a retired contractor and veteran of the Airforce, Coast Guard, Navy, and Merchant Marine. Having served in Loas with A.F special operations in 1967, under the U.S Embassy. Survivors include his daughter Brandi Robinson; grandson Justin Stritzinger both of Alabama. Mr. Robinson worked with veterans for over 40 years, and was a life member of China Post 1, VFW, Dav, Air Commanders, Spec Op Asso., and L.Z Friendly. A memorial service will be held 12:00 pm Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.
