John “Woody” Woodall, age 55 of Maysville passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022. Woody was born in Decatur, GA and was raised in Virginia Beach, VA. He served 6 years in the  Navy with the Naval Construction Battalion. Woody enjoyed fishing, baseball, football, golf, and most importantly enjoying time with his family. Woody is best described as being funny, outgoing, talkative known for ‘Woody the Wood Pecker’, kind hearted, spontaneous, sarcastic, thoughtful and many more. He would take his shirt off his back for absolutely anyone! He always lights up the whole room. We are blessed and grateful to have known such an amazing soul. He was a loving Son, Father, Brother, Husband, Uncle, Step-Father, Papi and a wonderful friend with a big heart. John is survived by his wife Lori Woodall of 17 years; father Harold Wayne Woodall of Winder; mother and step father Tom and Charlene Mitchell of Virginia Beach; siblings Stacy Woodall of Texas, Nikki and Shawn of Virginia Beach, CK and Jill Mitchell; daughter Abigail Woodall of Cumming; step children Ryan Brown and Shelby Brown- Hewlett of Maysville; grandchildren Liam, Easton and Jayde; nephews Austin, John, Silas, Aiden and Kian; niece Emily and a host of other relatives. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Winder Moose Lodge from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm,  434 GA HWY 211 NW, Winder, GA 30680. Bring any pictures you have of Woody. If you can wear a Steelers and/or a  FSU shirt or hat in his memory. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made in memory of John Francis Woodall to the Bladder and or Kidney Cancer Foundation; American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.  Inurnment will be held with family and friends in Virginia at a later date.
