Jorene Barnwell Dorman

Jorene Barnwell Dorman, age 78, of Hoschton, Ga, passed away at her home on Monday, October 4, 2021. She enjoyed sewing for her children and grandchildren and was an avid gardener. She retired from Gwinnett County Public Schools as a special needs bus monitor. Jorene was preceded in death by her husband Jack Dorman, father Joseph Barnwell, mother Ruth Bishop, brother Billy Barnwell and grandson Jason Rumble. Jack and Jorene were members of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Dacula, Ga. Survivors include daughters Doris Summerlin (Gary), Jackie Rumble (Michael), Carol Ralston, Cathy Schrage (Mike), stepson Harry Caraway (Kelli), sister Lorraine Dodd, 15 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren. Rev. Nolan Rumble will officiate.  A visitation will be held 11:00 am, Thursday October 7, 2021 with funeral to follow at 12:00 pm at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel, 4532 Hwy 53, Hoschton, GA, 30548, www.lawsonfuneralhome.org, 706-654-0966.
