Kathrine Darlene Chapman

Kathrine Darlene Chapman, born on January 20, 1949, in Union, South Carolina, passed away on January 16, 2026. She is remembered as a devoted mother, loving sister, and cherished friend.

A vibrant spirit whose warmth touched the hearts of many, Kathrine dedicated her life to her family and community. She is survived by her beloved sons, Travis Bowers and his wife Valerie, along with Dallas Bowers. Her legacy continues through her six grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who were the light of her life and brought her immense joy.

Kathrine also leaves behind her supportive brother, David Millwood, and her caring sister, Teri Espinosa. The bonds she created with her family will be cherished forever.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Willie Millwood and Sallie Ann Inman-Milwood, as well as her son, Emmett Abott. Kathrine was also preceded by her brothers, Bill Millwood, Gene Millwood, Frank Millwood, Donald Millwood, and Edward Millwood, and her sister, Sarah Little.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Kathrine's life during a visitation on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Lawson Funeral Home, located at 4532 Highway 53, Hoschton, Georgia, 30548. Funeral services will be held 6:00 pm Thursday, January 26, 2026 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. 

Kathrine Darlene Chapman will be dearly missed by all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy defined by her love, strength, and compassion for others.
