Mrs. Laura Allison Bates

Mrs. Laura Allison Bates , age 87, of Doraville, Ga., passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Doraville for the majority of her life and was a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Bates was the last of sixteen children. She was survived by her son Dewayne Bates of Doraville, grandchildren, Lisa Anglin and husband David of Braselton, Ga., Michelle Bearden and husband Shannon of Ringgold, Ga., great grandchildren, Natalie Dorsch, Trevor Anglin, Kelly Anglin, Kathryn Anglin, niece Deborah Walker of Colorado. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia, 845 West Ridge Road, Gainesville, GA 30501. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2:00 P.M. May 10, 2012 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
