Leila Mae McBrayer Hagar

Mrs. Leila Mae McBrayer Hagar, 83, of Hoschton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026.

Leila was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Arthur Leon McBrayer and Eva Morgan McBrayer and was raised in Cedartown, Georgia. She later moved to Pennsylvania, where she and her beloved husband, Don, owned and operated a successful engineering business in Allentown for many years. After retiring, they fulfilled a lifelong dream by relocating to Gunnison, Colorado, where they embraced the beauty of the mountains and the peaceful lifestyle they had always envisioned. In her later years, Leila returned to Georgia to be closer to her family.

Leila was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her generous heart, gentle spirit, and the love she so freely shared with others.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald K. Hagar; her parents, Arthur Leon McBrayer and Eva Morgan McBrayer; her brother, Richard Daniel McBrayer; her sister, Marilyn McBrayer Horton; and her son, Clyde W. Adams.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Hagar (Rhonda) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; her daughter, Laura Sills (Robert) of New Jersey; her grandchildren; extended family; and many dear friends who will cherish her memory.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of The Oaks at Braselton for the loving care, compassion, and dignity they provided to Leila throughout the final year of her life.
