Marie Mauldin Jackson

Marie Mauldin Jackson, 62, of Jefferson, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2019. Mrs. Jackson loved and cherished her family and the Lord more than anything else. In her free time, you could find her reading, shopping, and spending time at the beach. Her laugh and smile would light up any room that she was in, and she always knew how to say what you needed to hear. Mrs. Jackson had a passion for teaching, and she loved her kindergarten students. She fought valiantly against ovarian cancer for 5 years. Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Edward Jackson; son, Will Jackson and his wife, Hannah; nephew, Greg Mauldin; niece, Brittiany Mauldin Lathrup; and many other caring relatives. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Jonnye Mauldin; brother, Greg Mauldin; and nephew, Jacob Mauldin. The family will receive friends at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 11th at the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel, with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 pm.
