Mary Ann Landers Kenerly was received in heaven on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11:40 AM at the age of 84. She was taken from the arms of her loving daughter, Theresa Kenerly, and met by the arms of her Savior. She was the widow of Thomas Milton Kenerly, with whom she enjoyed 51 blessed years of marriage. On Tuesday, August 1, 1939, she was born to David Alvin and Nannie Lou Storey Landers in Acworth, Georgia. She attended Duluth High School. The good people of Lilburn could find her running Kenerly’s General Merchandise until it closed in 2002, when the family moved to Hoschton. She was a woman of the community, belonging to Luxomni Sewing Club, the Lunch Bunch, and Hoschton Women’s Civic Club. She attended New Hope AME Church in Hoschton. She enjoyed volunteering, especially for the Braselton Library, where she served as a former board member. Mary Ann was loved by all who knew her. She will be remembered for her loving and generous nature, her care for others, and her tremendous strength. Throughout her life she tended to her flowers, her kitchen, her store, and all her loved ones. She was one who could be counted on to lend a helping hand or give wise advice. Her family and friends find peace in knowing she has rejoined her parents, her husband Tom, her siblings, and her precious daughter Kay. She lives on through her daughter, Theresa Kenerly and her partner Devon Karnitz; granddaughters Angie Bragg and husband B.J., Christie Landers and husband Taylor; grandson Tommy Boyd and wife Lisa; great grandchildren Breann, Abbey, Lexie, Aaron, Nicholas and Olivia; and godchild LeAnnah Langston and husband Steve and their three children and granddaughter. She is also survived by her siblings June Starnes, Audrey Landers, Billy and Mary Tom Landers; her nieces and nephews Susan Landers, Debbie and Frankie Kennedy, Stanley and Lavonne Starnes, Lynn and Steve Kelley, Paula and Robert Walker, Pam and Tommy Edwards, Amy May, Theresa Thomason, Jan Pruett, Skip and Barbara Thomason, Tim and Becky Landers, Keith and Margaret Kenerly, Kevin and Beth Kenerly, Kenneth and Jennifer Kenerly, DeeAnn and Eddie Brown, Kedrick and Aimee Kenerly; her great nieces and nephews Steven, Shane, Jessie, Michelle, Nicole, Ashley, Allie, Finn, Landon, Cory, Robert, Jonathan, Amy, Krissy, Madeline, Katie, Grace, Knox, Miranda, Kohl, Klay, Bridggett, Austin, Kalem, Kamden, and Kaden; and her great-great nieces and nephews Ryan, Grace Marie, Ada, Kylee, Chole, Connor, Hudson, Banks, Caroline, Will, Kenslee, Emerson, Hudson, Beckham, Dorothy, Noralee and a host of other relatives. She is predeceased by her husband Thomas Milton Kenerly and daughter, Kay Kenerly; her siblings Neal and Brenda Landers, Bill Starnes, Alvin Landers, Marie and Bob Powers; and nieces and nephews Douglas Landers, Michael Landers, Jason Landers, Greg Thomason, and Wendy Landers. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Kenneth Kenerly and Rev. Frances Hunter will be officiating. Interment to follow 2:00 pm at Luxomni Baptist Church, 175 Luxomni Road, NW, Lilburn, GA 30047. The family will receive friends 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the funeral home.
