Mary "Louise" Nash Barnette

Mary “Louise” Nash Barnette, age 87 of Watkinsville passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2015. She was born at home in Gwinnett County, Georgia on November 17, 1927 to Crawford and Ruby Nash. Louise lived in Barrow County as a child and raised her children there. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Ralph Nash, Mattie Tee Nash Stinchcomb, Mae Opal Nash Roberts, Geraldine Nash Garrett, Blanche Nash Cronic, Randall Nash and her youngest son, Christopher Barnette. Louise is survived by her brother, Scybron Nash of Elberton, GA and her sister, Virginia “Jenny” Nash Moulder of Winder, GA. Her brother, Eugene Nash, also of Winder, passed the morning of Sunday, September 27, 2015 immediately following Louise. Surviving children include Donald Barnette and wife Sandi of Bethlehem, GA, Shirley Barnette Hardage and husband Tim of Watkinsville, GA and Melissa Foster of Kenly, NC along with 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. The family would like to give a very special thank you to Cydra Fisher, who has been Louise’s caretaker for the last five years. Cydra was a true blessing to Louise and her family. To honor Louise’s wishes, traditional funeral and burial services will not be held at this time. A public service in celebration of her life will be held at 10am on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at River Hills Church in Winder, GA.
