Melissa Ann Tucker

Melissa Mayfield Tucker, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a heart larger than life itself. Melissa was known for her tremendous love for her family and her ability to make everyone around her feel cared for and valued. Her enormous heart and compassion touched countless lives, and her memory will live on in the love she gave so freely.

Melissa’s greatest joy in life was her children, whom she loved beyond measure. She is survived by her beloved children Dawson Taylor, Stacy Taylor, Marleigh Taylor, Brycen Mayfield, Traie Tucker, Tabatha Copeland, and Janet Allen.

She also leaves behind her devoted husband William Tucker, who shared in her love and life’s journey.

Melissa is survived by her sisters Heather Dyer, Alison Young, Charity Young, Alaina Young, Bree Young, and Tasha Young, and by her brothers Jr. Smith, Joseph Smith, Ricky Young, Milton Young, and Bryan Young.

Her love continues through her cherished grandchildren Gracen Taylor, Kaden Taylor, and Mason Allen, each of whom brought her endless joy and pride.

She is also survived by her loving parents Cheryl Smith, Bruce Smith, and Timothy Young, who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Melissa will be remembered for her gigantic heart, her laughter, and the way she could make anyone feel loved and at home. She gave endlessly, loved deeply, and lived with compassion that will never be forgotten. Though she has left this world, the warmth of her love and the light of her spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew her.

A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00pm, Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment cremation.
