Mildred Louise Mckinley

Mildred Louise McKinley , age 84, of Jefferson GA passed away Thursday , November 14, 2013.  She was born Mildred Louise McWethy at Anadarko, OK.  She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Marlow, OK.  She was married to Paul McKinley for 51 years.  Louise, as she was known by family and friends, was a professor of Consumer Science at Cameron  University in Lawton, OK.  She received her Doctorate degree in Education from Oklahoma State University in 1976. Louise was known for doing things her way. She also loved gardening, reading, cooking, travel, and spending time with her grandsons Tyler and Christopher. She is survived by her son, Tracy McKinley and wife, Linda of Jefferson GA, sister, Bina Carter of Yukon, OK, grandsons, Tyler McKinley of Jefferson, Christopher McKinley and wife, Dr. Bonnie McKinley of OH; and great grandson, Lance McKinley,  Dr. Ron White, close personal friend, of Conyers, GA,  and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Paul McKinley, son Brian McKinley, and brother Fred McWethy.  Arrangements by Lawson Funeral Home, 4532 Hwy 53, Hoschton, GA 30548, www.lawsonfuneralhome.org, 706-654-0966.
