Norma Jean Fowler, born on August 8, 1944, and a beloved member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025. Norma's vibrant spirit and unwavering love for her family will be profoundly missed.
Norma was known for her deep affection for her family, which was central to her life. She is survived by her son, Jamie Thomas Fowler, and her daughters, Sherry Fielding and Lisa Fowler. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Nathan Fowler, Eric Davis, Harlee Underwood, Brandy Smith, Ashley King, and Jenny McDaniel, all of whom were cherished by her and whom she adored deeply.
Though she faced the sorrow of losing loved ones, including her father, Vernon Farr, her mother, Lucile Lee, her son, Jean Charles Oaks, her brother, Melvin Douglas Farr, and her grandson, Thomas Brock, she always carried with her the memories of the joy they brought to her life. Norma's kindness and warmth left a lasting mark on those fortunate enough to know her.
An individual of rich interests, Norma found joy in many activities. She was particularly passionate about decorating and expressed her creativity through it. Dancing brought her exhilaration, and the warmth of her kitchen was well-known to her family, as she delighted in cooking. Additionally, she had a fondness for watching wrestling, a pastime that brought her laughter and enjoyment.
Norma's love for the mountains reflected her appreciation for the beauty of nature, providing her solace and joy throughout her life.
Family and friends will have the opportunity to pay their respects during the visitation, which will be held at Lawson Funeral Home located at 4532 Highway 53, Hoschton, GA 30548, on November 29, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at the same location from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
