Ola Mae Campbell

Ola Mae Campbell , age 82, of Pendergrass passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 8, 2016.  She was the daughter of the late Frank and Myrtle Cheek.  Ola Mae was an active long-time member of Walnut Fork Baptist Church where she kept the nursery for 30 plus years.  She always thought of all the children as her own.  Survivors include her husband of 66 years C.H. Campbell, Jr.; son William Campbell; daughters Vickie West and husband Tommy, Veronica Smith and husband Andy all of Pendergrass; sister Latrelle Vickers of Oakwood; brother Russell Cheek of Gainesville; grandsons Waylon Thomas and wife Courtney of Hoschton, Jessie Thomas and wife Melissa of Braselton, granddaughter Andrea Smith of Pendergrass; great grandson Jackson Thomas of Braselton, great granddaughters Caroline and Elizabeth Sanders of Braselton, Julia Hut of Hoschton and a host of other relatives.  Along with her mother and father she is preceded in death by her brother Frank Cheek, Jr., sister Virginia Davis and granddaughter Christina Smith.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Walnut Fork Baptist Church, 557 Hwy 60, Hoschton, GA, 30548.  Pastor Dr. Rusty Newman will be officiating.  Interment to follow at the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends 5:00 pm  to 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Walnut Fork Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.  Funeral arrangements by Lawson Funeral Home, 4532 Hwy 53, Hoschton, GA, 30548, www.lawsonfuneralhome.org, 706-654-0966.
