Phillip Jay Dyer

Phillip Jay Dyer, born October 22, 1949 of St. Petersburg, Fl., entered into rest Saturday, June 29, 2024. Phillip is survived by his brother Robert Dyer and wife Frances of Statham;  sister Delores Scroggs of Decatur. He was preceded in death by his parents J.D. and Erco Dyer; sisters Laura Hubbard and Drusella Roberts; brothers James Dyer and Glenn “Buddy” Dyer. Phillip Served in the US Navy for four years during the Vietnam War, was named star student at Jackson County High School, had a certificate in computer science from Falls College and a certificate in teaching from the University of Georgia. He had various fields of work including the Internal Revenue Service, elementary education, and postal letter carrier. He never married and had no children. He was retired and lived a quiet life in Florida at the time of his death. He will be missed by his family and friends. Interment cremation.
