Raye Allen Farquhar Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 91. He was born on March 9, 1934, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania. Raye lived a life dedicated to family, making enduring memories that will carry on through the generations he cherished deeply. Raye was a part of the Coachman Crackers Travel Club for over 20 years along with his wife Norma. He served in the Army as a medic showing his love and care for others.
Raye is survived by his devoted son, Raye Jr., and his two daughters, Esther Farquhar of Auburn and Becky Chambers, along with her husband Georg, residing in Maryland. His legacy lives on in his grandchildren, Ian Farquhar, Dayne Farquhar, Timothy Chambers and wife Emily, Brittany Schmidt and husband John. Raye was also a proud great-grandfather to Owen and Nora, with another great-grandchild soon to join the family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Norma Farquhar, and his brother, Roy Farquhar.
A private service will be held to celebrate the life of Mr. Farquhar, honoring the love and memories he leaves behind. Raye’s spirit and kindness will always remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
