Richard Alan Bedgood

Richard Alan Bedgood , age 65, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at his residence in Jefferson.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 2:00pm in the Courtyard of Lawson Funeral Home.  The Rev. Ray Shannon will officiate.  Rick was born on June 17, 1955 in Warner Robins, Ga to the late William E. and Gloria J. Bedgood.  He was a good and humble man who was strong in his faith.  Rick played the trumpet in his church orchestra.  For over 15 years he taught third graders in Sunday School.  He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Karen Lingle Bedgood, Sons; Seth Bedgood and Sgt Nathan Bedgood (USMC) and wife Sarah, Brother; Darrell and Denise Bedgood, Brother; Gary and Kay Bedgood, Sister; Karen and Ken Carter.  Several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Following the service family and friends are invited to stay and fellowship.  A catered meal will be provided to all.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Mary’s Hospice, 1660 Jennings Mill Road, Watkinsville, Ga 30622 or www.stmaryshealthsystem.org.  Arrangement by Lawson Funeral Home, 4532 Highway 53 * Hoschton, Georgia 30548 * 706-654-0966 or you can visit our website to leave online condolences for the family at www.lawsonfuneralhome.org.
