Bob passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026 after an extended hospital stay. His love for God, family, country, friends and life in general shown bright for all to see. He was an avid sports fan, from playing in school, to coaching his children and others, refereeing, and watching and cheering his beloved GA Bulldawgs! He also worked hard with his uncles’ family business in his early years, Puckett Brothers Manufacturing, and continued into sales throughout the years with other pavement companies until his retirement just a couple of years ago. In 2017, he was voted into the Pavement Hall of Fame representing the Puckett Family. For all his achievements and just being Bob, he will be dearly missed.
Bob was preceded in death by his father and mother, Worth Hayden Puckett and Mary Davis Puckett, sister Rosemary (Puckett) Simonton, brothers Johnny, Bill and Jack Puckett, and his first wife, June (Pilgrim) Puckett.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy, sons Robbie (Shawn) and Mark Puckett, Ashley (Sai) Simmons, and daughters, Lisa (Stacey) Swift and Laura Simmons. Grandchildren Jordan (Kyle) Graham, Peyton Puckett, Alexander Puckett, Brandon Puckett, Dallis Goodnight, Tyler Swift, Zack (Kayla) Swift, Micah (Lauren) Swift, and Tyler Simmons. Great grandchildren, Brielle, Mila, Scarlett, Aries, and two more on the way! He is also survived by brother Paul Puckett and sister Jenny (Puckett) Rogers, and many close cousins, nieces and nephews, and many, many good friends.
A Funeral service will be held, 11:00am, Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Zoar United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the funeral home.
