Shannon Russell Shaw

Shannon Russell Shaw, age 55, of Jefferson passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from a sudden illness. He was an adoring husband and a loving father. He was born February 19, 1968 in Gainesville, GA. He grew up surrounded by his loving family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We know we can’t have you but we are happy the angels and your mother have you back. Goodbye to a wonderful husband and caring father. Survivors include his wife Carla Marie Shaw, son Damon Shaw; father Kenneth Shaw; in laws Gary and Betty Carlyle; brother Scottie Shaw and a host of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Joan Shaw; grandparents James and Dorothy Gazaway, John Henry and Vera Mae Shaw. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Calvin Gooch and Rev. Gary Carlyle will be officiating. Interment to follow at Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery, 5970 Thompson Mill Road, Hoschton, GA, 30548. The family will receive friends 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the funeral home.
