Sharon Ann Rutledge

Sharon Ann Rutledge, age 62, of Winder, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025. Born on May 8, 1963, in Atlanta, Georgia, Sharon was a cherished wife, devoted mother, and beloved sister who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Sharon’s warm and nurturing nature resonated throughout her life. She is survived by her loving husband, Harold Wayne Rutledge Sr.; her children, Harold Wayne Rutledge Jr. and his wife Robin of Winder, and George Allen Rutledge and his wife Ashley of Commerce. Sharon’s legacy also includes five beloved grandchildren who were a source of immense joy and pride for her.

Sharon's bond with her family extended beyond her immediate relatives. She was the cherished sister of Charles Barnes of Milledgeville; Sadie Parks and her husband Avery of Monroe; Bannie Angel and her husband Ralph of Commerce; Barbara Campbell and her husband Donald of Winder; and Ann Abernathy and her husband David of Winder. Her life was enriched by the love and laughter shared with her siblings, and she will be deeply missed by each of them.

In her leisure time, Sharon found enjoyment in puzzles, word searches, and coloring, activities that illustrated her creative spirit and quest for knowledge. She was also a devoted dog owner, sharing her life with her beloved furry companion, Rosie, whose devoted companionship brought her great comfort and joy.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 pm, Friday, October 10, 2025, at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment cremation. 

Sharon Ann Rutledge will be remembered for her nurturing heart, her unwavering love for her family, and her unique ability to find joy in the simple things. Her presence will be tremendously missed, but her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
