William “Bill” Jaynes, 83, of Braselton, Ga, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026. Born in Sheffield, Alabama, Bill lived a life deeply rooted in the values and traditions of his southern heritage.
Bill was the beloved son of Harold and Christine Jaynes, who preceeded him in death. He is survived by his sisters, Kathy Bruce and Karen Lowry, nieces, Angelia Shepard, and Rebekah Cole, and nephew Danny Phillips.
A proud veteran of the United States Army Reserves, Bill exemplified dedication and service to his country. His commitment to hard work and community extended beyond his military service into his personal passions. Bill was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting and fishing. Saturdays were often spent cheering for Alabama football, a pastime that reflected his deep connection to his home state.
In addition to his love for the outdoors and sports, Bill embraced organic farming and beekeeping with enthusiasm. These pursuits not only reflected his respect for nature but also highlighted his resourcefulness and dedication to sustainable living. His efforts in these areas were a testament to his enduring spirit and thoughtful approach to life.
Faith played an important role in Bill’s journey. He was a member of the Braselton Church of God of Prophecy, where he found fellowship and spiritual fulfillment and was a faithful worker in the food pantry ministry. His kind presence within the congregation left a lasting impression on those who worshipped alongside him. `
Bill’s warmth and steadfast character touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether through moments in nature or quiet conversations over shared meals, he left behind memories that will be treasured by many. May William “Bill’ Jaynes rest in eternal peace and may those who mourn find comfort in the legacy of kindness and resilience he leaves behind.
