William James Killian II, a Gainesville resident, born on March 19, 1943, in Cincinnati, OH, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026. He is remembered as a dedicated father, beloved grandfather, and a man of many talents who touched the lives of those around him with warmth and kindness.
Bill embarked on a fulfilling career as a residential builder before transitioning to become a first aid product salesman. His work ethic and dedication were evident throughout his professional life, leaving a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Bill found joy in a variety of hobbies and interests. He was an avid fisherman, often seeking solace and adventure by the water. His passion for auto racing brought excitement to his life whether attending in person or watching on television, while hunting and attending car shows offered him opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Bill also cherished moments spent shooting guns with family and friends. Above all, he valued the time he spent with his family, embracing every chance to create lasting memories with them.
Bill leaves behind a loving family, including his sons: James (Jim) Donald Killian of Oakwood, GA, and Jeffrey (Jeff) Scott Killian and his wife Tina of Flowery Branch, GA. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Aaron Jeffrey Killian of Stonecrest, GA, and Jena Elizabeth Killian and her husband Patrick of Marietta, GA, who will carry on his legacy with love and fond memories.
He was preceded in death by his father, William James Killian Sr., and his mother, Mildred Martha Mazal, who welcomed him into the world and instilled in him the values he carried throughout his life.
BiII's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his legacy will continue through his family. He will be truly missed but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on February 14, The Oaks Building, 2719 Tumbling Creek Road, Gainesville, GA. Visitation 12:00-1:00, Service at 1:00.
