Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and US Air Force Veteran. It is with overwhelming sadness and a broken heart that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother William (Bill) R. Moore, 73 of Hoschton on October 9, 2021 at his home, with those who loved him by his side, after a very long and courageous battle with cancer. Bill was born on April 26, 1948 in Denver, CO to the late Evelyn (Jones) and Walker Moore. He graduated from Fort Myers high school in 1966 before enlisting in the US Air Force upon graduation. He served his country proudly for 24 years and attended college while on active duty, earning is MBA. He retired in 1992 from the Air Force as a Captain, then went on to a Civil Service career until he retired in 2013. Bill will be missed by his loving wife and best friend of 50 years, Linda (Hargraves) Moore; his two adored children, Sean Moore and his wife Lynn of Flowery Branch, Kerry (Moore) Chabot and her husband Christopher of Hoschton; five grandchildren, Hayley, Andrew, Dylan, Addison, and Delaney; his brother Walker Moore and his wife Natalie of Marietta, his brother-in-law David Meloy husband of his late sister Ginger (Moore) Meloy of Fort Myers, FL and his loyal sidekick Molly, our cat. Bill was a member of The Vine Church in Flowery Branch and lived at The Phoenix Senior Living Community, where he was loved by many. Bill was a kind, loving and supportive man who loved spending time with his family, playing his guitar, singing, making wine, and building creations out of wood that are treasured in many of his friends and families homes. We will miss him forever! A memorial service will be held at The Vine Church on October 28th and he will have a full military service with honors at the National Cemetery in Canton, GA on November 11. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306, www.tunnel2towers.org .
