Willie Lee Boggus, Sr.

Willie Lee Boggus, Sr. , age 82, of Winder passed away Friday, November 4, 2016.  Willie was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church.  Willie played the guitar, loved being in law enforcement, fishing and helping people. Survivors include his wife Becky Boggus of Winder; sons David Boggus and wife Patricia of Statham, Mark Boggus and wife Diane of Winder, Michael Boggus and wife Maggie of Commerce, step sons Robert Hill and wife Terri, Richard Hill and wife Melinda, Tim Williams and wife Juile; daughters Darlene Maddox and husband Buck of Bethlehem, Martha Medcalf of Jefferson, Lynn Service and husband Tommy of Jefferson and Nelda Hardy of Jefferson; brother Bobby Boggus and wife Mary of Winder; 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents William Boggus and Mary Black Boggus; son Dwight Boggus and sister Penny Gilliand. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Monday, November 7, 2016 at New Beginning Baptist Church,  3235 Hwy 11 North, Monroe, GA, 30656 with Rev. Gary Carlyle, Rev. Roy Turk and Rev. Russell Page officiating. Interment will be held following the services at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 2390 Athens Hwy, Gainesville, GA, 30507.  The family will receive friends 9:00 am Sunday, November 6, 2016 at New Beginning Baptist Church.
